Homogeneous mixture: Homo means the same while Geneuos means to see. And mixture to combine. So when join together, it a give a single meaning. Therefore, it is the mixture of which the same substance in a medium can see but a mixture of different substance in a medium cannot be seen. Ex. sugar dissolved in water, we cannot see it.

Solomon Adeyongu

Salt dissolved in water.
We cannot see the salt in the water, the two components are mixed uniformly so it is a homogeneous mixture.
