The given reaction is:
H3O+ (aq) + OH- (aq) → 2H2O (l)
This reaction represents a neutralization reaction. In a neutralization reaction, an acid and a base react to form water (H2O) and usually a salt.
In this case, H3O+ (hydronium ion) is the acidic species while OH- (hydroxide ion) is the basic species. When they react, they form water (H2O), which is a neutral product.
Since the acidic hydronium ions and the basic hydroxide ions are reacting to form a neutral product (water), this reaction is an example of a neutralization reaction.

B show be the answer

l will have said the answer is Neutralization but according to the equation above after adding acid and base only water was produced and neutralization is acid + base = salt and water
Agene Matthew
Neutralization is the process by which an acid react with an appropriate amount of alkaline to yield salt and water only.

Who knows the right answer please?

Please I need more explanation to that
oluwafeyisayofummi oladipo
which is neutralization reation
oluwafeyisayofummi oladipo
since \( H_{3}O \) is acidic and O\( H^{-} \) is basic and acid plus base equals to salt and water

where is the salt in the equation?

In Modern Chemistry, Neutralisation is the reaction between one Mole of Hydroxonium ion (H3O+) and one Mole of Hydroxyl ion (OH-) to form two (2) Molecules of Water (2H2O).
