x - 15% of x = ₦765
\(x - \cfrac{15x}{100} = 765\)
\(\cfrac{100x - 15x}{100} = 765\)
\(\cfrac{85x}{100} = 765\)
\(85x = 765 \times 100\)
\(x = \cfrac{765 \times 100}{85} = 900\)
\(85x = 765 \times 100\)
The original selling price = ₦900
