Political parties are groups of people who come together to contest elections and hold power in the government. Their main aim is to represent the interests of their members and supporters by forming a government and implementing policies. However, political parties also have other goals.

This question is asking what political parties do not aim to achieve. Option A states that political parties aim to contest elections, which is true. Option B states that political parties aim to form a government, which is also true. Option C states that political parties do not aim to organize general elections, which is the correct answer. Option D states that political parties aim to educate the electorate politically, which is another goal of political parties.

In summary, political parties aim to contest elections, form a government, and educate the electorate politically. However, they do not aim to organize general elections. This is because the responsibility of organizing general elections falls on the Independent National Electoral Commission (INEC) in Nigeria.

I think the main aim of political parties is to contest and win elections unlike pressure groups whose main aims is to influence government policies to the benefit of its members but not attempting to control government machineries directly by contesting elections.
So I think political parties are formed with the aim of contesting and winning elections.
