The volume of a cuboid is given by the formula \(V = lwh\), where \(l\), \(w\), and \(h\) are the length, width, and height of the cuboid respectively. In this case, the base of the cuboid is a square with side \(s\), so the length and width are both \(s\), and the height is \(H\). Therefore, the volume of the cuboid is \(s^2H\).
The volume of a pyramid is given by the formula \(V = \frac{1}{3}Bh\), where \(B\) is the area of the base and \(h\) is the height of the pyramid. In this case, the base of the pyramid is also a square with side \(s\), so the area of the base is \(s^2\), and the height is \(h\). Therefore, the volume of the pyramid is \(\frac{1}{3}s^2h\).
The total volume of the shape is the sum of the volumes of the cuboid and the pyramid, which is \(s^2H + \frac{1}{3}s^2h = s^2(H + \frac{1}{3}h)\) cm\(^3\).

Yes, it's similar to option D. Just that 1/2 should be 1/3 and 2H should be 3H

Good day. I believe the answer is s^2/3 (3H + h). Due to the fact that a pyramid is one-third of a prism not a half of it.
