Convex lens is positive
F=10, m=1/2=v/u ie U=2v
1/10=1/v+1/2v
1/10=3/2v
V=15
Nb:U=2v
U=2×15=30
So, A shud be the right answer....

Since height of image/height of object = 1/2 = magnification
Then v/u = magnification are in the ratio 1:2
v/u = 1/2
u = 2v
v= u/2
1/v = 2/u
f=10, 1/v +1/u =1/f
Therefore, 1/v = 1/10 - 1/u
By equating the two equations, 1/10 -1/u = 2/u
1/10 = 2/u + 1/u
1/10 = 3/u
Cross multiply
u = 30
recall that v = u/2
Therefore v = 30/2
v = 15
Distance between object and image is given as v+u
Therefore the answer = 30 + 15
= 45cm
